Sculptures don't get much creepier than these skull and robot hybrids created by artist Christopher Conte. And these aren't designed solely from the standpoint of an artist: Conte also works making artificial limbs for amputees, so he knows a thing or two about where the human body and technology meet.

They're certainly cool and thought provoking, but at the end of the day, I would not want one anywhere near my apartment. Nothing raises red flags with potential dates like having a creepy robotic skull sitting on your end table. But hey, keep on keepin' on, Conte.
