If the purpose of technology is to make advancements that allow us to get out of doing menial tasks that take up time and provide us with no joy, there are few tasks we can engineer our way out of faster than doing dishes. I mean, come on, doing dishes is miserable. That's why I love to see stuff like this Readybot being developed.

This adorable little guy hides under the counter until summoned. When called, it raises up to human height to rinse the dishes, load the dishwasher, wipe off the countertops, and clean the floor. The developers think it can take care of 30-40% of daily kitchen chores, but hope to get that number up to around 80%. Get it up to 100% and you've sold yourself at least one Readybot to yours truly.
