Kidsonroof Totem runs on imagination energy

kidsonroof-totem22.jpg
When I was a kid, the coolest toys on the block were Rock'em Sock'em Robots
and Battleship. The toy scene has gotten a little more, uh, sophisticated
since then, and look no further than the Kidsonroof Totem for proof. The newest toy from these Dutch designers is a creative building game that has more than 120 construction cards with signs, symbols, textures and elements. The Totem has a cool green angle, too, as all the cards are made from recycled, laminated micro-wave cardboard.

Totem includes directions to build four different models — Katar, Yak, Barca, and Buran — but the real beauty of this toy is in letting your kid’s imagination run wild. Or not. I bet my son could build 100 different designs with this set, and they’d all have the same name: “Truck.”
