Kaossilator is a music synthesizer, in a touchpad?

kaossilator.jpg

The Kaossilator isn't the nuttiest synthesizer we've seen around these parts, but it is definitely the most intriguing. On the outside, Kaossilator appears to be a traditional touchpad separated from its laptop keyboard companion. In all reality it is a complete music synthesizer, which can conveniently fit in your pocket.

You drag your finger left and right on the touchpad to change the pitch and up and down to change the sound. Also included is a drum kit, pre-programmed beats and unique sound effects. Looping and the audio-out jack allows entire songs to be composed on this miniature device and ported to a computer. It may be time to retire that 75-pound synthesizer you lug around to every party, this is a better option.

The Kaossilator is available for $200. Click through to see a video that better demonstrates how the device works.
