Issey Miyake unveils steampunk handheld cleaner for stylish slobs
What happens when you mix the talents of an elite fashion designer and a major household product manufacturer? You get The Wind, the Dyson DC16 handheld cleaner. Looking more like a Buck Rogers meets Prince and the Revolution mashup than a hand vac, the device is the result of Miyake designer Dai Fujiwara and James Dyson tooling around in the woodshed for something that might make getting nachos out of the carpet sexier. You can pick one up now for just $194 here. It's not likely homemakers will flock to this unwieldy contraption, but in terms of real life steampunk gadgets, this one's a keeper.

Yes, these launched worldwide about six months ago - the reason they're on the blogs (again) this week is because of the various fashion weeks, and Dyson's PR team reminding everyone once again of the fashion victim's vacuum cleaner of choice...boring!
