EMONSTER smart phone offers macho iPhone alternative
Yes, the iPhone currently rules the day, but some of us geeks like our gadgets to look less like museum pieces and more like hacked together power boxes. That's where EMobile's aptly named new S11HT EMONSTER comes into play. Touted by EMobile as Japan's first multi-functional smart phone, the device does pack a lot of features including a very nice tilt-up 2.8-inch QVGA display screen, Windows Mobile 6, GPS functionality, microSD, Bluetooth 2.0, and a slick QWERTY keyboard. If you haven't been assimilated by the Steve Jobs drones, you can pick up your EMONSTER on March 28th here.

Yeah, I was about to say, that's my phone. It's just the HTC TyTN II (aka AT&T Tilt) with what appears to be software from the HTC Touch. That has the same functionality as mine. If you want a more "iPhone feel", you can just use programs like SPB Pocket Plus or PointUI's Home.

I see one difference. There is a VGA camera on the upper left corner of the picture, that is not on my AT&T 8925/Tilt.

ATT told them to get rid of the camera on the front of the Tilt because they don't want anyone to actually use the data network that they love to tout. Most geeky guys like me are their worst kind of customer. I pay a $40.00 pick your plan for phone and $19.99 for unlimited data. I never use all my minutes up, but I have data sessions that last into the hours (steaming music, video, etc.). If the Tilt had the front phone on it for video phone with others than the network wouldn't be able to handle it. Lame ATT.

iPhone rules. This looks like an other lame Windows mobile device. Had a couple of Palm Treo running Windows Mobile for years before my iPhone. No comparison, iPhone is superior in every way.

And what's up with the name, s11ht. looks a lot like sh*t. I guess they knew what a piece of sh*t their product really is since it uses Windows Mobile.
