Yet again Dyson is involved in the process of integrating technology into a pre-existing process that seemed destined for retirement. Hanging clothes out to dry on a clothes line is an Al Gore-friendly way to dry clothes, but not the most efficient. The Dyson Air-Line concept is a outdoors clothes drying contraption that has managed to maximize and increase air-drying efficiency.

It uses both solar heat and ambient air to dry the clothes. It is completely enclosed as well, leaving your very worn undies to not be seen by anyone but yourself. The ambient air flows through the device and when combined with the solar heat, clothes dry much faster than traditional air-drying techniques. The designer, Daniel Fitzgerald, had the high-rise apartment dweller in mind with the Air-Line because the device would be perfect for balconies.
