Bang & Olufsen, a company known for charging insane amounts of money for gadgets and gear due to their sleek designs, is at it again. Its new BeoVision 8 is a 32-inch TV, and a nice one at that. One of its more eye-catching features is that it has a speaker on board that makes the sound like it's coming right from the screen. Pretty cool, eh?
Yes, it's cool, but is it worth $3,950? You can get pretty much any other HDTV of that size for about half that price or less. But hey, this one looks hot and has a fancy speaker! And it's made by Bang & Olufsen, people! Get your credit cards out and quit complaining.

Poor B&O - their stuff was always expensive but before it was cutting edge and great quality... now its behind the times and expensive...
By the way - is there a mass exodus happening from Gizmodo to Dvice? Adam, you guys getting paid more over here?

My friends, If life was that simple there would be no room for fun.
Why buy a Ferrari when you could by a Ford and get you from A to B. Why fly First Class when you pay a fraction of teh ticket cost, flying Coach.
Why are houses and lot sizes not the same..
Answer: M O N E Y
If you don't have it life sucks, but if you do you can buy "toys" like for instance the B&O line...
I actually found this page as I just returned from the B&O store looking at the BeoVision 8, and I was looking for feed-back (that is CONSTRUCTIVE feed-back...).
Sure, B&O is expensive but no other brand offers the same integration nor quality.
You can take a unit from i.e. 1988 and hook up to a unit from today and control it all with todays remote.
Now with that said, once you start collect and do your home integration you can pretty much control everythign from shound, picture, light and phone in the entire house from one room.
Now that is cool isn't it...
