Turkey dinner telephone brings the funny into an outdated gadget

turkeydinner2.jpg

Normally I will shun away from any kind of new releases of outdated gadgets, but this is just too amazingly awesome to pass up. Upon first glance this appears to be a simple, yet shiny turkey dinner waiting to be eaten, but if you look a little closer it is actually a telephone. Alexander Graham Bell is likely rolling in his grave at this point, but some young and adventurous company has integrated a phone into a fake, plastic turkey dinner.

The entire set was custom made for a Thanksgiving television special, but limited edition models are available for purchase from the manufacturer. That is, of course, if you really feel the need to own a turkey dinner telephone and I don't know of a reason to not want to own something of this nature.

I can honestly say that while I am a frequenter of novelty stores and outlets such as Spencer Gifts and the like, what would send me into a buying frenzy for this product as a novelty item would be a wireless option. Yes I said it, wireless. A descreet under the dish on top of the plate base perhaps? Then you truly could "Leg" go of the cumbersome and limited phone cord. Novel product.
