Plant lamp seems like nature gone wrong

plant.JPG

If your plant lost all its leaves, turned itself upside down and started emitting a glow from its pot, it might look like J.C. Karich's Plant lamp. I'll let J.C. explain: "As we all know plants get energy from sunlight, so why not try to create a plant that generates light." Well, one reason may be that it's pretty unattractive unless you live in a greenhouse. Really, who wants an upside plastic plant pot as their lampshade? I think if J.C. swapped the pot for a normal lampshade this one might look a little better. The "plant" itself is made of wires, two of which get plugged into the wall outlet.
