Oxygen-equipped fire extinguisher concept isn't safe, at all

capsule.jpg

Woo Seok Park is the designer behind Capsule, a different type of fire extinguisher. Initial impressions would suggest that Capsule is a pretty good idea. It's a fire extinguisher that includes small capsules that are tossed into fires, allowing the person attempting to extinguish the fire to be further back compared to traditional extinguishers. Each capsule is full of an extinguishing powder that would blanket the area upon a heat-induced explosion.

The red flag comes about with the other important feature of the extinguisher. In addition to capsule storage, the Capsule also includes an oxygen tank. Yes, an oxygen tank, in a fire extinguisher. Come to think about it, let's say the fire does get close enough to explode the oxygen tank, then it will also explode all of the fire-extinguishing capsules inside sending the universe into a fire-less wormhole and all will be well, or something of that sort.
