This Free Lines design concept is for a sort of strange extension cord/power strip hybrid, something that'll allow you to place outlets wherever is convenient for you without leaving tangles of cables strewn about and long powerstrips sticking out from under things.

Consisting of a serious of modular outlet blocks and cables that snap together, it's essentially a Lego-like system of stringing power around your house. While it's a nice idea, one that would be great for people who have really stupid outlet placement in their rooms, nothing beats just plugging things straight into the wall in terms of cleanliness and order.
