Macworld 2008: Recyclable backpack goes from polyester to polyester

Targus TRB001US_radius_Backpack.jpg

It may not look like much, but this Targus Radius series bag has got to be a first – it's made from recycled polyester and can itself be recycled. Thank-you, Al Gore. It feels like the ballistic nylon that most well-made bags are made from, and it also has no PVC or earth-unfriendly nickel.

There are a number of bags in the company's EcoSmart line, including a couple of messenger bags, that range from $99.99 to $129.99 for the backpack. There's no reason why the bags are a dull green, but they look more eco-correct.
