MacWorld 2008: (Un)tangled up in cords

taylor tech ipod USB headphones.jpg

Instead of fumbling around for both earbuds and the iPod charging cable, here's a clever combination of the two from a company called Taylor Tech. The thing plugs into the iPod/iPhone 30-pin connector. When you get home, the earbud piece unplugs revealing a USB jack that you can plug in for syncing and charging. That middle clip piece even has a mic for use with iPhone.

Of course it's so clever you can't buy it in the U.S....yet. The Korean company is looking for U.S. distributors. They hope to have it available on these shores in March for between $40-$50. They say they're working on a version with a 3.5mm jack so you can jack in your own favorite 'phones.
