Designers from all over the world gathered to take part in the Platform21 = Joyriding exhibition in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to rethink the shape of the automobile. And rethink it they did. The exhibition includes animations, scale models and concepts of all types from remote-controlled vehicles to larger display pieces.
Platform 21 describes the exhibition as, "Not a car show but an aesthetic joyride; it's about form and feeling rather than engineering." While the car may be safe enough, the concepts don't look like anything you'd want to be in during a crash. Then again, no one could call them boring.
