Fast food joint replaces the disgruntled cashier with colorful kiosks

Denizens of Singapore will be able to enjoy service without that pesky smile when they visit Kitchen MoguMogu, a Japanese-style fast food restaurant. Rather than tell a cashier what you'd like to eat, all you need to do is find what looks tasty on a menu presented on a cute kiosk, punch it in, and wait for the cooks — who are not yet robots — to get it ready for you.

The concept streamlines the process of ordering and eliminates communication errors much like an automat, though with (hopefully) better food than a vending machine provides.

Similar restaurants have become popular in Europe and even here in the States, such as the Bam! automat in Manhattan, New York.
