E-mimi Kun earphone-microphone snuggles your ear, blocks uncute noise

emimikun1.jpg

NS-ELEX has added to the list of brilliant Japanese gadgets somewhat undermined by ridiculous names intended to lend the device a certain "cute factor." The E-mimi kun (kun is a word usually used to affectionately refer to a boy, or cute guy) is an earphone and microphone in one, using vibrations within the ear to transmit and receive information. The technology helps to reduce ambient noise and can be used wirelessly with a Bluetooth handset. No word on when the device will be available in the U.S., so in the meantime you'll have to remain satisfied with your plainly named in-ear technology of choice.
