CES Wierd: DIY tonearm kit could be the lowest tech introduction at CES

DIYtonearm.jpg

Okay, so it's not technically at CES, but at the tag along THE Show, but I found a guy selling parts that allow you to build your own tonearm. For your $50, you get the headshell and Well Tempered Labs / Shroeder inspired plastic bearing assembly, you supply the arm tube and other bits. The display model was painted a fetching shade of gold, and was mounted on a beat up mid '70s vintage Linn Sondek turntable. The demo record was The Carpenters Top of the World, I love it!

Check out a Tonearm.org for (a little) more info.
