CES Weird: Sony Rolly coming to America
We got our first look at Sony's Rolly dancing MP3 player a few weeks ago at New York's BlipFestival, where it was paying a visit from Japan. As you may remember, Rolly is a small (slightly larger than an egg) MP3 player that moves to the tunes it plays — in a surprisingly less-cheesy way than you'd expect.
Here at CES, Sony revealed that Rolly will be making his way to America for an official release this spring. Company reps were mum on pricing but said it would be less than $500. Storing 2GB of music (AAC and MP3 — no WMA), Rolly will come in basic black or snow white, and possibly pink if Sony's feeling festive. Spy Stewart Wolpin's vid of Rolly in action above, and watch for it on SonyStyle.com in a couple of months.
