So, you’ve bought the Honda of your dreams. Sprung for the best sound system they have, complete with built-in XM Satellite Radio. But, your beloved Howard Stern is exclusively on Sirius Satellite Radio, along with all your other favorites. Never fear, the HON-SCI ($100) is here. Not really the sexiest product around, it is a handy innovation. In a nutshell, it removes the factory XM features and adds Sirius, in a factory installed kind-of-way. If the built-in head unit had a button that says XM, or even on-screen XM, those will remain. However, you’ll be hearing Sirius; complete with all the display features you’re used to: song, artist, and station information. It will work with all Honda and Acura satellite-equipped head units. For an additional $49, you can get a separate embedded tuner or even a dock for your portable Sirius device. Now, you don’t have to pick your car based on what satellite service you prefer.
