CES iPhone: Belkin's new Tunebase FM choses a clear channel for you
belkinfmdvice.jpg

Belkin's introduced a new iPod and iPhone to car radio broadcaster, this time taking the guessing out of the channel-surfing equation. The Tunebase FM has something the company calls ClearScan technology: push one button and the dock will troll the FM cannels for the best frequency to broadcast your tunes to your car radio. This is a good system, but to be honest, we can't wait until every car has a headphone-in jack so these broadcast systems become obsolete.

The accessory also charges your iPod or iPhone. It will be available in 2-3 months, and will cost $100.

I thought this thing was a giant sized iPhone Jukebox at first glance.

This unit is complete crap! It is great at picking out occupied frequencies. Totally useless!!! Can't hear a anything with this piece of #$%@#$.

I bought one for my IPod and it picked stations that were occupied and the ones that were not didnt pick up the IPod very well. Useless---DO NOT BUY!!!
