HD Radio isn’t exactly breaking news, but the features that are being included with it are pretty interesting. Polk’s in-home entertainment system, the I-Sonic 2 has a built-in HD Radio tuner, and it’s also an iPod docking system. This desktop system provides incredible playback performance, but it has a feature that’s just too hip. iTunes Tagging is a system that takes advantage of the data provided along with the HD Radio signal. Hear a song you like on your favorite HD Radio station, and hit the “tag” button. Next time you load your iPod onto the I-Sonic 2, it will transfer the information about all the songs you’ve “tagged” to your iPod. The next time you connect to iTunes, your “tagged” playlist will load up, giving you the option to quickly and easily purchase and download the song files. HD Radio, iTunes Tagging and Polk Audio – what do you think about that combination?
