Following an unplugged performance of her hit “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield, Yoko Ono made an appearance at the John Lennon Educational Bus. Ono was presented an award for her support and contributions to the John Lennon Educational Bus. This was the debut of the second generation of this incredible educational tool. The initial bus has been touring the country for 10 years, visiting schools and campuses, giving over two million kids the opportunity to record their own music in the mobile recording studio.
The new bus now adds a complete video producing and editing system as well. Students can come onboard, record their own song, shoot an accompanying video, and edit the complete project. The bus features state of the art equipment that rivals some of the best studios in the world. This opens a world of possibilities for kids who would never get the opportunity to step foot into a real recording studio. Plans are already in the words for up to seven other busses for a worldwide experience. Just imagine the possibilities.
