The problem with smartphones isn’t the phones; it’s the small size of their screens and the keyboards. The Cello Corp’s has a neat solution for Windows mobile phones: It’s the RedFly mobile companion, and it has a full keyboard and screen featuring a single platform that runs off your smartphone, which means no syncing and full security. It’s compact and lightweight, making it very portable. The RedFly has multiple output options for presentations or desktop connections. It should be out by March for $500.

Bummer, I just checked and my ATT 8525 (HTC Hermes 100) is not compatable with the Firefly. It seems it doesn't like the ATI Imageon accelerator chipset used by my phone. Otherwise I would race out and get one of these gizmos. They are currently "beta selling" the Firefly. Check compatability before you get this new gizmo. I used to get the large form factor PDA's such as the Intermec 5561, which had a 800 by 480 display. There is a nich for this device. I hope others will use it. PDAfan
