Whenever I see a portable speaker the size of the iMainGo 2, I brace myself for a tinny, garbled sound experience. But this one surprised me, and its two titanium speakers put out a reasonably balanced and pleasant sound that will fill a small room. It’s also a solid carrying case for your iPhone, iPod, Zune, and other MP3 players. After you insert your player and zip the case, you can navigate your tunes through the vinyl cover, and turn it over to hear the speakers. For $40, this is a nifty gadget.
