I’m not sure if I should question how they do it or why they do it, but they did it. HiVi created the Swans 2.3A, a home theater system powered speakers that takes up a lot of space and utilizes a huge dynamic front/rear linear sound source, a high-resolution isodynamic ribbon tweeter (huh?), an external power amplifier with a three-way professional active crossover and a pair of independent 15-inch active subwoofers. It's finished in natural wood veneer plus piano lacquer… sweet. I was knocked out in the demo, but then again I should have been because this big bad boy costs $49,000. It's available now.
