Ceramic and paper turn your headphones into 'speakers'

speaker_7860.jpg

Ceramic is a great material for sound amplification. Does it follow that if you wrap your earbuds in ceramic that you'll have instant loudspeakers? Maybe. The "loudspeakers" pictured here were made from clay and discarded musical scores by designer Yong Jieyu. He believes that he's giving the sheets of music a second chance to "fulfill their destiny — the propagation of music." We have no idea how loud these can get, but we're pretty sure they'll be easy on your energy bill.
