Autodialing business card is great for the dyslexic

calling_businesscard.jpg

With CES currently going on, I can't help but reflect on technology overall. Why is it that CES can show off umpteen different new technologies, while the business card still relatively remains the same? Designer and electronics wizard Tom Ward seems to think a lot like me. He has managed to create an autodialing business card.

The card contains a tiny speaker that will play the audible tones of his phone number. All you have to do is place the card up to a touchtone phone, tap it and the tones will automatically dial Tom's number. This is only a prototype at the moment, but Tom intends to get the cost down to $2 per card with a production model.
