22-inch monitor with a 7-inch monitor tacked on is a strange combo
Call me crazy, but I don't really get what the point of this strange dual-monitor contraption is. A 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor with a 7-inch LCD attached to the side for some unknown reason, it supposedly gives you more space to work.
But come on, if you're going to have a dual-monitor setup, why not just go all out? You need more than a 7-inch screen to get all the benefits of having two monitors, so you might as well suck it up and get two 22-inchers. Sure, the $550 price is more reasonable than most similar setups, but in the end, you get what you pay for.

acctually, i use the same setup by choice, althoug mine is 22 and 15. this is perfect for working on the 22 and having MSN, ICQ and iTunes on the small one. and when you work with CADprograms or photoshop it's perfect to have the tools on the smaller screen and have a clear workspace on the main. so I say good thinking but maybe not really there yet.

Actually it makes a lot of sense, if you use graphical tools or photo tools they have a lot of toolbars that get in the way of your work, having those toolbars on another screen helps a lot.
In my case I have a tripple monitor (19", 22" Center, 19") setup because I do development.
