Thin battery rolls like paper

Thick, chunky batteries can only mean gadgets that are thicker than they need to be and weigh much more than they should. Thankfully Zhang Xiachang has come up with a battery that is so thin, you can roll it like a piece of paper. At 0.5 millimeters thick the 1.5 volt battery probably won't be powering your laptop anytime soon, but as the technology develops, I can see this battery being used to power cellphones and other devices during emergencies. Xiachang will show off the battery at this year's International Forum on New Material Research and Industry Development in Wenzhou, China.
