Swiveling USB card reader is one step too lazy

Earth_Trek_1.jpg

There are some downsides to technology, and those being ridiculous items like this. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's tough to find at least one individual lazy enough to need a swiveling USB card reader to maximize card-reading efficiency. Especially one who doesn't need compact flash.

Made by an Asian manufacturer (no surprise there), this is one of the few card readers that does not require any cables. It plugs directly into a USB port and can swivel to provide easy access to all sides of the device for card-reading needs.

Another strange facet about this twisty card reader is the "mobile charger," which appears to be a single, proprietary connection for one type of cellphone. That's pretty good for owners of that cellphone, but what about just adding a USB port on the end of the device? Hell, you can make that one swivel too.

I would guess the point of having it swivel is to fit properly in more computers, not just for laziness as you say. I've had flash drives that don't fit well in certain USB ports because of their location before.
