Some of you were pretty upset when DVICE found ways to get under Pleo's skin, but, hey, we didn't literally get under that skin. We even took Pleo out for a well-deserved walk around town.
The video features a pair of hands from PleoDreams meticulously skinning Pleo's outer layer and exposing the innards that make the extraordinarily life-like 'bot work, set to music that sounds like it'd play in an evil genius's parlor. If you've got 24 minutes to spare and are curious about what goes on inside a complex robot (and have the stomach for extensive robo-surgery), it makes for very educational viewing.

I think that the video is cool. I like seeing how thing work. If you notice they take the battery out early in the video which meaning that this is not torture for torture’s sake. I still can’t believe that the Pleo sells for less than 400.00 dollars! I can not wait until Pleo 2.0 comes out!

This guy was obviously no hunter. I would've had that thing skinned in a minute or two. Now that there's a "Pleonator" lets have a contest puting fangs on its dentures, spikes on the tail, claws on the feet and perhaps some spikes along the spine ! I see myself using cat claws, porcupine kwills and adjusting the jaws to open more and bite unmercifully to those unfortunate few that try to put their finger in it's mouth, lol. Now that's a bot we could all have fun with ! Can you say "robot Wars? Too funny.

Can't you guys tell this is a 14-16 year old kid. Look at his hands, their small. It also looks like he's been beaten with the bruises on his arms. If he's not a kid then he's a man with small hands and into S&M? But I'm thinking he's a kid.
