Proving once again that when it comes to robots all roads lead to Tokyo, independent director Alessandro Pacciani has released a short film about a robot called the BV-01. The short story arc takes us from the beginnings of the BV-01--developed by the fictional Fujiwara Corp.--as a human assistant to its ultimate destruction and subsequent resurrection on the streets of Tokyo. Although you won't find this incredible short film at your local movie theater, you can taste the future of human/robot social interaction here for free. — Adario Strange
