The gumEase G100 promises to alleviate the pain that goes along with having dental work done by chilling nerves until they're numb — no need for drugs or needles. The G100 is a flexible container filled with a solution that is a lot like the kind you'd find in a gel ice pack, and it's resistant to freezing. You just toss it in the freezer and, when you need one, rip open the packet, pull the G100 out, mold it into a rough mouth-shape and then slide it onto your gums.
It looks like each G100 is good for a few minutes, so you may have to use a few of them to get perfectly numb. No word on if using gumEase is as effective as getting drugged by your dentist, but there are plenty of people out there who hate injections so any replacement is likely welcome.
BioMeDevice is currently looking to get gumEase distributed within the United States.
