When Elvis the cat lost the use of his hind legs because of a run-in with a truck, BattleBot builder Carlo Bertocchini wasn't going to acccept his cat's lost mobility. Instead, he fashioned the robotic carriage you see in the video above. Elvis is able to zip around with ease and seems to enjoy spinning in circles, though it doesn't look like he'll get too many back scratches while on the move. Let's hope he doesn't find a way up onto the furniture!
Bertocchini says that his robo-box garnered a lot of "commentary" from folks who love animals, but, honestly, why? Bertocchini didn't build Elvis a conveyance as a joke, and in the video above Elvis certainly doesn't look bothered.

I'm still trying to figure out if this is for real or a joke.

Oh it's definately real. I same the expo on it on the battlebots show on comedy central. One of the entrants built this for the cat. Apparently it just took a bit of training to get it to use the buttons properly.

Cat Cyborg, I hope he gets a grant! Not sure why he had to surround the cat in a box. I think that he could make the robot part smaller.
