When the robot overlords take over, we'll have only ourselves and our love of today's current, simplistic robots to blame. But how can you really think about a robocalyptic future when stuff like this Halluc II is around and so cool?

It's an eight-legged robot that's able to scurry over all types of surfaces. It can roll around on its wheels or walk on its legs, allowing it to handle stairs with aplomb. It's loaded up with sensors and lasers to help it avoid obstacles and stay on course. There's no real practical consumer application for it as of yet, but hey, it's a cool robot! Until it evolves and kills you, that is.
