Fed up with the boring storage ideas all us land dwellers have come up with over the years, John Paul Plauche turned to the sea for some new ideas. The lowly barnacle seems to have caught his eye (apparently nothing says "storage" like an arthropod), so he modeled his Barnacle "adaptable storage pods" after the real thing. These octagonal-ish creations are made from gelcoated glass fiber and range in size from 6" x 8" to 8" x 10".
They don't seem well suited to storing anything in particular, but they're definitely more avant garde than those BIlly bookcases you bought at Ikea. They're also vaguely alien and creepy looking, probably because barnacles themselves are vaguely alien and creepy looking. Note to Paul, for your next design maybe stay away from hermaphroditic parasites as your inspiration.
