I really liked this design too. It's cool and sexy looking because it was created by the well-known San Francisco-based Industrial Designer David Shaw of Metaform Product Development. He came to my school for a guest lecture and sketch demo a few years back and shared some amazing work. He did a ton of LucasFilm Star Wars toys and some other pretty inventive products like this abacus calculator that mixed the ancient with modern. Check out his work at: www.metaformdesign.com

The reason this design looks so cool and sexy is because it was designed by an award-winning Industrial Designer in San Francisco named David Shaw of Metaform Product Development. He came to do a guest lecture and sketch demo at my school a few years ago and shared some real cool work. He's designed a ton of LucasFilm Star Wars toys and other interesting gadgets that are not only cool looking but also user-friendly. Check out his work at: www.metaformdesign.com
