Vertical Limit blends fine drinking with high tech sensibilities

Veuve-Clicquot-Vertical-Limit-Porsche-Design.jpg

We've seen a lot of different ways to store wine, but it's time to give champagne some love. The Vertical Limit, commissioned by champagne house Veuve Clicquot and designed by Porsche Design, is probably the coolest-looking way to store bottles we've seen.

The Vertical Limit stands six feet high and stores 12 bottles at 12° Celsius — which I hear is pretty much the perfect temperature for champagne, but you guys let me know. It even comes with 12 bottles of hand-picked Veuve Clicquot vintages. But I don't care about the drink, just look at those beautiful, hand-soldered stainless steel doors. Only 15 of these cellars have been made and they can be found in stores in New York and Los Angeles.

The Vertical Limit is even cheaper than that crazy corkscrew we showed you, at $70,000.
