Those earbuds that came with your iPod suck, my friend. And while sure, you could spend $50 and upgrade to some much better headphones, why be so cheap? If you're gonna upgrade, you might as well seriously upgrade. Take no prisoners!

You can't upgrade much higher than these Stax SR-007 Omega II MkII Electrostatic headphones. Pretty much the top of the line when it comes to headphones, these are the granddaddy of the product category. Coming in their own hard case for protection, they'll set you back a whopping $3,895 if you pick up the amp with them that you really should use with headphones this high end. If you decide to go without, they're a downright-reasonable $2,000. I'll take two! — Adam Frucci
