Sentry external hard drives protects data from water, fire

sentrysafe.jpgMaxtor has teamed up with famous fire-safe manufacturer, Sentry Group, to develop an external hard drive with capable of withstanding fire and water. This partnership was a two-team deal. Sentry designed the casing to withstand 1550 Fahrenheit degree temperatures for upwards of 30 minutes and underwater conditions for up to 24 hours. Maxtor took care of the goods on the insides with its hard drives and an special bundled software called SafetyDrill (wasn't a safety drill in elementary school when you would hide under your desk?). SafetyDrill is a single button instantaneous restoration solution, which is pretty convenient. The 80 GB model goes for $260 with the 160 GB model going for $320.
