Roland FR-7 is the first digital version of the instrument everyone hates

accordian_1.jpg

I'm a little surprised it has taken this long to do so, then again I cancelled my subscription to Accordion Weekly and haven't followed the trends, but Roland has released the very first fully digital accordion. This behemoth of a noise-maker includes a mind-wrenching 51-speaker system, 40 different completely customizable and programable accordion tones and 22 orchestral sound to give some sanity to this device. It is also expandable through MIDI tones and has a headphone jack, which will likely be rarely utilized. (Get the hint that I dislike accordions yet?) Click the link below to see a video of a poor soul performing with the FR-7.
