Meneau's wine decanter: Bloody genius!
blooddecanter.jpg

Is alcohol consumption good or bad for your heart? Scientists will probably argue this issue for decades to come. In the meantime, to remind you that wine probably affects your arteries in one way or another, you can ponder French artist Etienne Meneau's wine decanter/sculpture that when full looks eerily like human blood vessels. It holds exactly 750ml (one bottle of wine) in its complex branches.

This is the best decanter we have ever seen, and we really want one. Unfortunately, at nearly $3000, it's priced more like a sculpture than a decanter.

um, how do you clean it?

Looks creepy

Looks extra creepy

I'd pay a hundred bucks for that, but 3 grand? Pffftttt - ridiculous!

I would be afraid it would be heavy, awkward and brake easily. Making a huge mess of broken glass and wine. 3 grand down the drain.

Hear hear to breakage. There's something similar in the Dollars and Sense across the road for AUD30. Hm.
