Nothing says class like LCD rims

lcd-rims.jpg

There's no better way to tell the world that you have no taste and are proud of that fact than tricking out your car. And the best place to add the tackiest crap seem to be rims, which must look like blank canvas to terrible people everywhere.

The latest travesty to come out of the rim-customization industry are these: LCD rims. Yes, you can now put screens on your rims, showing Scarface or porn to whoever happens to be unlucky enough to be parked next to you. Of course, they'll really only work if you aren't moving, as the screens don't stay still while the rest of the wheel moves, but I'm sure that won't be enough to deter people from buying them. Oh, good.

the coment "Of course, they'll really only work if you aren't moving" is short sighted
a simple connection to the speedometer
and a fast enough refresh rate could allow some screens maybe not these to show a tumbled image
an image that rotates with the rate of the wheels
zero rotation for zero miles per hour
appropriate rotation for higher speeds
"bad taste" as it is termed in the article can win through the day
