Huski instant beer chiller eliminates warm brew (Britain frowns)

Huski-beer-chiller.jpg

It's always a bummer to run out of Cold Ones and have to switch over to the Lukewarm Ones or even Rather Disgustingly Hot Ones that have been sitting in the garage for a while. New Zealander and 22 year old designer Kent Hodgson agrees, and he's come up with the Huski beer chiller. The device uses plastic cooling cells that are forced down into an area filled with liquid carbon dioxide, which expands into the cells and forms dry ice. After that's done, all you do is dip the Huski down into your bottle and within seconds you'll have some refreshingly chilled liquid in your hands. Unlike ice, the Huski won't water down your drink, and it'll cool it about four times faster.

Hodgson reckons each Huski cartridge will be good for 30 bottles, and right now he's looking for someone to market his patented invention. He thinks the Huski might go for as much as $50. Not too pricey, especially when you consider how much easier it is than carrying around a cooler.
