Get off the grid with the solar-powered Aleutia E1 computer

aleutia.jpgThis Aleutia E1 computer is "the ultimate off grid computer." What's that mean? Well, it means you can use it away from the infrastructure you're used to relying on, what with most computers needing things like power outlets to function properly. Not the E1.

Nope, using a mere 18 watts of power with the display running, it uses a built-in solar panel to get juice. It runs a version of Linux that can handle office, web, and multimedia applications, and the 10-inch screen comes built-in. It's a simple little computer that's great for people who go off away from cities and still want to have a computer they can use to write or listen to music with. Pretty cool stuff.
