As watches become the new platform for all kinds of devices, they're getting a whole lot smarter. Case in point: the Exmocare watch, clever enough to assess how you feel and then send that info to someone who cares about you via e-mail or instant message.
It's equipped with infrared LEDs that measure not only the heart rate and its variability, but can also process galvanic skin response that signals the emotional state of the wearer. The watch also has an on-board accelerometer that detects movement.
This could be a lifesaver for senior citizens living alone, notifying their caretakers if something is amiss. Exmocare hasn't announced yet when the watch will be available or its pricing.
