Digital picture frame and wireless weather station team up on one 7-inch display

picframe_wxstation.jpg

It's great to have a digital picture frame on your desktop, and it's also especially convenient to have a weather station showing you current conditions when you're about to step out into the quickly changing climate. This digital picture frame is combined with a weather station, putting both of those functions together for the first time in the same 7-inch display.

The wireless remote transmitter sends data from outside to the weather station, giving you temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure readings at your fingertips. With those numbers, the weather station is smart enough to estimate a forecast for you, which it displays on the top left. It also shows you the time, date, sunrise/sunset times, and the phases of the moon.

When you've had enough of all those numbers, push a button and it plays back your choice of photos either from the its 128 MB of internal memory or from an SD/MMC card loaded with your fave shots. You can either display one picture at a time or program a sequence of pics in a slide show. Not bad. This little panel gives you a lot of functionality for your $199.
