Callpod Dragon Bluetooth headset has range, a lot of range

drgn_mainphoto.jpg

You know those folks that wear the Bluetooth all hours of the day and radiate off vibes of weirdness when talking to themselves? Heck, you are probably one of those guys, so listen up because Callpod has come out with a heck of a device that will maximize the efficiency of the appearance of talking to yourself.

The Callpod Dragon is a Bluetooth headset claiming to operate upwards of 100 meters. That is practically the length of a football field that your Bluetooth headset can operate away from the mobile phone. I hate to say it, but this isn't too bad of a product, especially for those living in large houses or work environments. People without pockets could also benefit from a device like this. The Dragon is available for $120.

I would have found this helpful a year or so ago. I lived in a basement apartment where the only place my cell phone worked was by one of the windows. The headset i used was only good for 10 feet or so. It does make me wonder how good the battery life is when transmitting that far.

"operate upwards of 100 meters. That is practically the length of a football field" Last time that I checked a meter was longer than a yard and a football field (in the USA)is 100 yards, 100 meters would be 109.4 yards, which I guess is less than a Canadian football field, but the article says upward so I doubt it is shorter than their fields either.
