Blockbuster, which had its butt severely kicked by Netflix in the online video rental game, is hoping to save itself from obsolescence by jumping on this new "cell phone" thing that the kids have been talking about these days. Specifically, they want to rent movies to people for viewing on phones.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: nobody wants to watch a movie on their cell phone. Well, unless that phone has an iPhone-sized screen, and there aren't many phones that do. Can you imagine watching Transformers on a 1.5-inch screen? It sounds horrible. Sorry Blockbuster, but I don't buy it. Please try again.
